Wife did not go to her maternal home / Husband took a dreadful step by writing 'Swati, I love you very much, can't stay away from you'

Swati, I love you very much. I can't stay away from you. Now I am going too, don't scold Tukku after I leave.' By writing all these things in suicide note in wife's separation, the driver working on contract in Pitkul hanged to the gallows.

The police handed over the body to the relatives after conducting the post-mortem. Market outpost in-charge Vivek Rathi said that there was information about the suicide of a youth in Shanti Vihar. When the police went to the spot, they saw a young man hanging on the noose. He was pulled from the noose and rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased youth has been identified as Manish Chaudhary, resident of Kanwli. He lived in a rented house with his brother-in-law in Shanti Vihar (near ISBT). Manish was a contractual driver in Pitkul since 2015. Manish was married to a girl named Swati in 2018 but due to family dispute, she lived in her maternal house for almost a year.

They have a two-year-old daughter named Tukku. He was very upset after his wife left his maternal home. Police also found a suicide note from his pocket. In this he has written that 'I love you very much Swati. You may be living separately but I cannot live separately from you. So now it's time for me to go. Don't scold Tukku after I'm gone.'

Manish further wrote that Swati should not be blamed for her death. It's not his fault in this. The outpost in-charge said that after the post-mortem of Manish's body, it has been handed over to the relatives. At the same time, another incident has come to the fore in the city itself. A woman living with a friend, separated from her husband, was found hanging under suspicious circumstances.

Prima facie the police is treating it as a suicide. The woman was originally from Chamoli district and worked in a finance company here. Police has sent the body for post-mortem. The incident is of Ogal Bhatta under Clementtown police station area. SO Deepak Kathait said that the police had reached the information of the suicide of a woman.

Inside the room, the woman was hanging on the ceiling with the help of a fan. The police got him down and rushed him to the hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead. Local people told the police that she was having a rift with her husband. Few days back she started living with her friend. It is being told that on Wednesday evening, the friend had a fight with him. Meanwhile, he beat her up and broke her. She returned from work on Thursday and hanged herself at around 6.30 pm. Earlier, he had called his sister by taking the neighbor's mobile. It is being told that she had attempted suicide earlier as well. SO said that investigation is going on in the matter. M.S.R.
