Jharkhand government has suspended state mining secretary Pooja Singhal in connection with an alleged money laundering case. On the other hand, CA Suman Kumar has been sent to four-day ED custody. The ED had recovered cash worth around Rs 19 crore from his house. Earlier, the ED had also arrested IAS Pooja Singhal on Wednesday. ED has sent Pooja Singhal to five-day custody. Pooja Singhal is accused of money laundering. He is also accused of scam in MNREGA, coal block, mines, mineral departments. Pooja Singhal and Suman Kumar will be produced before the court on May 16.

According to sources, Singhal was hesitant in replying. Thereafter he was arrested. The directorate produced Singhal before a local court for custody, after which the court ruled to send him to five days' custody.
Earlier, Singhal reached the agency's regional office in Hinoo area of Ranchi at around 10.40 am on Wednesday. At the same time, on Tuesday too, she was present at the ED's office for about nine hours, where her statement was recorded. In fact, on May 6, the ED had conducted raids in Jharkhand and some other places against the bureaucrat, her husband, organizations related to her and others. Chartered accountant Suman Kumar was arrested in the case on May 7.
