When to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on 11th or 12th August-

Due to full moon date and Bhadrakal, there is a situation of confusion among the people. But broadly speaking on this subject, you can celebrate the festival of Rakhi on both the days. According to Diwakar Panchang, on Thursday, August 11, when the Moon is in Capricorn and Bhadra will be in Patalalok, Bhadra will be avoided. Rakhi festival should be celebrated on 11th August during Pradosh Kaal from 18:20 to 21:50. Although according to the beliefs of Hinduism, it is a tradition to celebrate this festival on Udayatithi. In such a situation, Rakhi can also be tied on 12th August in Udayakalik Purnima.

Raksha Bandhan auspicious in Pradosh period

According to astrologers, it will be very auspicious to celebrate Raksha Bandhan during Pradosh period. Pradosh Kaal i.e. about two and a half hours after sunset is considered very auspicious. Lakshmi Puja is performed during this period on Diwali. Holika and Ravana combustion is also a law to be done during Pradosh period.

Auspicious time to tie Rakhi on 11th August-

According to astrologers, on Thursday, August 11, Bhadravas is in heaven due to the Moon being in Capricorn, so this day is worthy to celebrate the festival of Rakhi. According to the scriptures, when Bhadra resides in the earth world then it is considered inauspicious. On August 12, the full moon is till 07:17 in the morning. Whereas on August 11, the full moon date will start at 09:30 in the morning. In such a situation, the festival of Rakhi will be celebrated on Thursday after the start of the full moon date i.e. from 09:30.

On August 11, tie Rakhi in these auspicious times-

On August 11, the auspicious time for tying Rakhi will be from 10.38 am to 12.32 am. Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 12.06 pm to 12.58 pm. Amrit Kaal will last from 12.09 pm to 03.47 pm.
