Dr. Archana Sharma, who committed suicide in Dausa, Rajasthan, was the daughter of Jharkhand. Hospitals in Jharkhand will remain closed today to demand strict punishment for the culprits of suicide. In protest, doctors will boycott work for 12 hours. This will cause problems for the patients.

Out Patient Department (OPD) services will remain closed in government and private hospitals across Jharkhand on Saturday. From seven in the morning to seven in the evening, the consultation work of patients will be closed. Doctors will be present in all hospitals, but they will not provide services in OPDs. They will be available for consultation after 7 pm.

Emergency services of hospitals will not be disrupted during this bandh. The strike is being called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Women's Doctors Wing and Jharkhand State Health Organization (JHA). These organizations allege that Ranchi's daughter Dr. Archana Sharm was abetted to commit suicide.

BJP leader detained in Dausa

On the other hand, BJP leader and former MLA Jitendra Gothwal has been taken into custody by the police in connection with the suicide of Dr Sharma in Dausa, Rajasthan. Gothwal is accused of protesting against Dr. Archana Sharma after the death of the mother. It is being said that Dr. Archana Sharma committed suicide only after getting upset with the performance.

Doctor Archana Sharma, a gynecologist living in Ranchi, used to run a private hospital in Dausa, Rajasthan. After the death of a pregnant woman on March 28, her relatives had filed a case against Archana Sharma. Since then Dr. Sharma had gone into depression, after which he committed suicide. Doctors of Rajasthan and Jharkhand are outraged by the doctor's suicide.

Demand for implementation of Medical Protection Act

Jogesh Gambhir, president of the Jharkhand unit of Association of Health Care Providers in India, has said that a Medical Protection Act should be implemented at the central level. Dr. Archana Sharma has committed suicide under compulsion, so it is not a suicide but a murder.

Union Minister Munda also demanded investigation

On the other hand, Union Minister Arjun Munda has also demanded an inquiry into the matter. Munda has demanded an inquiry from the Gehlot government of Rajasthan in this matter. He wrote in his tweet that the incident of suicide of gold medalist Dr. Archana Sharma is very sad. After this incident, the Rajasthan government and the police administration have been put in the dock.
