IPL 2021 / In the storm of Shivam and Yashasvi Chennai Rajasthans 7-wicket big win

In IPL Phase-2, the second match of the day was played between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, which RR won by 7 wickets by showing a brilliant game. In the match, CSK had set a target of 190 runs in front of the Royals, but this huge target proved to be a sown in front of the innings of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dubey. RR won the match 15 balls first. In the team's victory, Dubey scored an unbeaten 64 off 42 balls and Jaiswal also scored 50 runs in 21 balls.

Apart from Chennai and Delhi, the suspense still remains on who will be the other two teams for the playoffs. With today's win, Rajasthan have moved up to the sixth position in the points table with 10 points and the team still has a chance of making it to the playoffs. Royals were aggressive from the beginning

Chasing the target, RR got off to a strong start. Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 77 runs off 32 balls. This partnership was broken by KM Asif by dismissing Lewis (27). In the very next over, Shardul Thakur gave another blow to RR by sending explosive batting Yashasvi Jaiswal (50) to the pavilion.

• Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his fifty in just 19 balls. This was his first fifty in IPL.
• Yashasvi Jaiswal was the first player to hit a fifty in the IPL 2021 powerplay.
• RR scored 81/1 in the powerplay. This was the team's best performance in the first 6 overs of the current tournament.
• Sanju Samson (28) and Shivam Dubey added 89 runs for the third wicket.
• Josh Hazlewood spent 54 runs in four overs without taking any wicket.
• Shivam Dubey scored an unbeaten 64 off 42 balls. This was his first fifty in IPL.
• Gaikwad's bat played well

Rituraj Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 101 off 60 balls while batting brilliantly. He hit 9 fours and five sixes in his innings. This was Gaikwad's first century in IPL and T20 formats. He has also scored 508 runs in the current tournament and the Orange Cap has also come to Rituraj.

Gaikwad and Jadeja batted brilliantly and added 55 not out off 22 balls for the 5th wicket. Jadeja also made an unbeaten 32 off 15 balls while batting stormy. Chennai scored 189/4 in 20 overs.

• Rahul Tewatia dismissed du Plessis (25) to give RR the first breakthrough.
• Tewatia sent Suresh Raina (3) to the pavilion in the very next over to give another blow to CSK.
• Chennai's third wicket fell in the form of Moeen Ali (21) and fourth Ambati Rayudu (2).
• In the last three overs, CSK scored 48 runs for no loss.
• Mustafizur Rahman spent 51 runs in the bowling of four overs without taking a wicket.

RR has made 5 changes in the team today. Shivam Dubey, David Miller, Glenn Phillips, Akash Singh and Mayank Markande were included in the playing XI. This was the IPL debut of Glenn Phillips and Akash Singh.
