IND vs BAN: India booked their place in the Asia Cup 2025 final with a commanding performance, defeating Bangladesh by 41 runs in the Super-4 clash at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. Batting first, India posted 168/6 in 20 overs, and in reply, Bangladesh was bowled out for 127 in 19.2 overs.

India’s Batting: Abhishek Sharma Shines
After losing the toss, India was asked to bat first. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a strong start with a 77-run stand for the first wicket. Abhishek played a fiery knock of 75 runs off 37 balls, smashing 6 fours and 6 sixes. Gill contributed 29 runs, while Hardik Pandya added 38 off 29 balls. However, India’s middle order could not capitalize further. For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain took 2 wickets, while Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, and Mohammad Saifuddin claimed one each.

Bangladesh’s Innings: Saif Hassan Fights Alone
Chasing 169, Bangladesh faltered early. Opener Saif Hassan scored a valiant 69, but lacked support as nine other batsmen failed to reach double digits. India’s bowlers dominated, bundling Bangladesh out for 127 in 19.2 overs. Kuldeep Yadav picked up 3 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy took 2 each. Axar Patel added one to his tally.

Mustafizur Rahman’s Historic Milestone
Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman reached a special milestone in this match, completing 150 wickets in T20 internationals. Achieving this in 117 innings, he became Bangladesh’s highest wicket-taker in the format, surpassing Shakib Al Hasan’s record of 149 wickets.
