Pahalgam Terror Attack: India has taken strict action against Pakistan after the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The killing of 26 innocent civilians in this attack shocked the whole country, and now India has started responding to this brutal attack at both diplomatic and strategic levels.

Lock on Airspace: India's big decision

India has temporarily closed its airspace for Pakistan. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued for this, which will be effective from April 30 to May 23. During this period, no Pakistani registered aircraft or military aircraft will be able to enter Indian airspace. If this happens, a warning of immediate action has also been given on it.

This decision is not only symbolic for Pakistan, but also a big setback from an economic point of view. Now Pakistan will have to take a long way for its planes to go to Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka or China, which will increase the cost of flights and passengers will have to face expensive tickets.

Series of high-level meetings at PM's residence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held high-level meetings at his residence for two consecutive days before this important decision. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi were present in the hour-long meeting held on Wednesday night. In the meeting held a day earlier, the Prime Minister had given a free hand to the security forces against the terrorists.

Action on the digital front too

India has started retaliation in the digital space as well, not just limiting itself to geographical boundaries after the terror attack. On Wednesday evening, Instagram accounts of popular Pakistani artists like Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan and Ali Zafar were blocked in India. Apart from this, the government also banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, which were accused of spreading anti-India, inflammatory and communal content.

Political consensus and solidarity

After the attack, the government has also received full support from the opposition. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said clearly, "The government has 100% support of the opposition. Those who have carried out this attack will have to pay the price for it. The Modi government should take strict action and should not waste time."
