India has administered 70 crore doses of vaccine towards coronavirus disease (Covid-19) so far, the Union health ministry stated on Tuesday afternoon applauding the fast-paced vaccination withinside the beyond few days. Union fitness minister Mansukh Mandaviya took to Twitter to congratulate all medical examiners for reaching the milestone.


"Soaring higher on COVID-19 vaccination under the PM (Prime Minister) @NarendraModi Ji’s leadership. 70,00,00,000 vaccine doses administered to date, Congratulations to all the health workers and people for this momentous achievement," he tweeted.

On Monday, India administered greater than 1.13 crore doses of theCovid-19 vaccine, reaching the feat of crossing the 1-crore mark thrice in the closing eleven days. With the administration of 1,13,53,571 vaccine doses on Monday, India’s Covid-19 vaccination insurance had already handed the cumulative determination of 69.90Crore as of 7 am today.


Highlighting the acceleration of the vaccination drive, Mandaviya stated that India administered the first 10 crore vaccine doses in 85 days, whilst crossed the 20-crore mark withinside the next 45 days. India took every other 29 days to attain the30 crore landmark.


The country took 24 days to attain 40 crores from 30 crore doses after which 20 more days to go 50 crore vaccinations on August 6. It took 19 greater days to head beyond the 60-crore mark and took most effective thirteen days to attain 70 crores from 60 crores, the fitness minister stated on Twitter.


“The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country...Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that are being reported for 72 consecutive days now,” the ministry of health and family welfare said in a statement.
