The final schedule will be announced next week. According to PTI sources, both the semi-finals will be held in Mumbai and Chennai. As per the initial draft, the tournament will begin on October 5 with defending champions England taking on eventual runners-up New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

Final match on 19 November

The final will also be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Pune, Lucknow and Dharamshala are among the 11 cities that have been selected to host the World Cup. Hosts India will play their league matches in 9 cities including Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The match with Pakistan will be on October 15.
