Punajb | International Kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambian was shot dead during the ongoing match in Punjab's Mallian on Monday. Sandeep, a resident of Ambian village, was murdered by unidentified assailants during a kabaddi cup in Jalandhar's Malian village at 6 pm. It is learned that about 20 rounds have been fired on his head and chest.

In the injured condition, he was taken to the hospital for treatment where he died during treatment. According to media reports, during the Kabaddi Cup in Malian village of Jalandhar, unidentified assailants shot international Kabaddi player Sandeep Singh of Nangal Ambian village. The bullet hit his head and chest.

Kabaddi competition was going on in the village, during which Sandeep had gone out to leave some of his companions. There some armed miscreants opened fire on him. The police reached the information of the incident and started investigation.

It is being told about the goons who attacked the Kabaddi player that there are about 12 of them. As a professional Kabaddi player, Nangal used to play in the position of a stopper. His fans used to call him 'Gladiator'. He ruled the world of Kabaddi for more than a decade and has played very well in Canada, USA, UK apart from Punjab.
