New Delhi : IT sector giant Wipro has fired 300 employees due to moonlighting i.e. working for rival companies. Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji has given this information. During an event, Premji said that in the last few months, we have identified 300 people who were also serving in another company at the same time. These people have been fired.This is the first time that an IT company has done large-scale layoffs due to moonlighting. Earlier, Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji had called the moonlighting of employees a fraud with the company.What is Moonlighting: When an employee does something other than his regular job to earn money, then it is technically called Moonlighting. Its trend has increased during the Corona period.
