T20 World Cup | Despite beating England in a thrilling match in the T20 World Cup 2021, South Africa's team could not get a ticket to the semi-finals. The match played between the two teams was full of excitement and it rained heavily for fours and sixes. Batting first, South Africa set a huge target of 190 runs in front of the English team. In reply, England could score only 179 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Although there were many such moments in this big match, seeing which the fans stopped breathing, but an incident happened in the middle of the field which made everyone emotional. In fact, England opener Jason Roy was seen moaning in pain and he was seen crying bitterly on the middle ground due to not being able to stand on his feet.

Chasing the target of 190 runs, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler gave a quick start to the England team and both put 37 runs on the score board in four overs. After this, Butler played a shot on the first ball of the fifth over of Keshav Maharaj and ran for runs. Roy also ran to complete the run, but he fell behind the stumps just after that and could not stand on his feet despite trying his best. Seeing his condition and the possibility of being out of the tournament, Roy started crying bitterly on the middle ground itself. After the physio's checkup, when Roy's pain did not subside, he had to be taken off the field.

Jason Roy did not return to the field to bat after this and after the match he was seen shaking hands with the South African players with the help of the supporter. If Roy is ruled out of the tournament, it could be a huge blow to the England team that has cemented its place in the semi-finals. Roy's performance so far in this World Cup has been excellent and he along with Jos Buttler has given the team a consistent start.
