IPL 2023: In the 36th match of IPL 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders registered their third win in the tournament by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 21 runs. The special thing is that KKR's second win out of three was against RCB. There were many heroes in this victory of Kolkata, but the difficulties of the biggest hero increased after the match. The player was found guilty of a breach under the IPL's Code of Conduct. In this match, that player thrashed the RCB bowlers fiercely. But after the match, these allegations against that player increased the tension for KKR.

In this match, KKR opener Jason Roy, who played a blistering inning of 56 runs off 29 balls, tore apart the RCB bowlers. But he did something which was not according to the rules of IPL. He was found guilty of a Level 1 offense by the match referee and fined 10 percent of his match fee under Article 2.2. The decision of the match referee is final in this matter. This charge is made when a player's behavior is found to be inappropriate.

Why was Roy fined?

The reason why Jason Roy has been fined has not been confirmed. However, according to the article of IPL, when a player behaves inappropriately, he is fined under it. It has nothing to do with the whole team, only that player is fined. If we pay attention to the match, when Jason Roy was clean bowled by Vijay Kumar Visakh in the 10th over, he tossed his bat in the air while going towards the pavilion. This could be one of the reasons, though there is no official confirmation on the same. Earlier, Avesh Khan of Lucknow Super Giants was also fined for throwing a helmet against RCB.

Talking about Jason Roy, ever since his entry into the KKR squad, he has brought new energy to the team. But where the team will use him, it has not been decided yet. First he was given the opening. Then he was sent in the middle order. In this match, he landed the opening again. He scored an innings of 56 runs in 29 balls in which he hit 4 fours and 5 sixes. While opening, N. Shared 83 runs off 56 balls with Jagdishan. Due to this innings, KKR got a rhythm and the team scored 200 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs while playing first. In response, RCB's team could only manage 179 runs for 8 wickets. Kolkata won this match by 21 runs.
