Vayu Shakti Exercise / Jauhar will show 148 aircraft including Rafale in Pokaran on March 7, PM Modi will become a witness

Amidst the Russia-Ukraine war, the Indian Air Force will conduct 'Vayu Shakti Exercise' on 7 March at the Pokaran range of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. In this, 148 aircraft will show their fighting skills. For the first time, the state-of-the-art aircraft Rafale will also be included in the Air Force exercise.

An Air Force official gave this information on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest of the exercise. The Indian Air Force conducts Vayu Shakti Exercise every three years at the Pokaran Range. In this she showcases every aspect of her preparation. The last time this exercise was done was in 2019. A total of 148 aircraft will be involved in the exercise. Of these, 109 will be fighter aircraft.

The official said that Vayu Shakti Exercise 2022 will include fighter aircraft Jaguar, Sukhoi-30, MiG-29, Tejas, while many aircraft will also demonstrate their capability. Transport aircraft C-17 and C-130J will also participate in this exercise. The capabilities of the Akash missile system and the Spyder missile system will also be showcased.
