University Grants Commission / JNU Vice Chancellor Prof M Jagadesh Kumar appointed as new chairman of UGC

Professor M Jagadesh Kumar, the current Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University located in the national capital Delhi, one of the country's renowned higher education institutions, has been appointed as the new chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Prof Jagdish Kumar's tenure as Vice-Chancellor has been very volatile. However, during his tenure, JNU has seen a lot of changes. Pro. M Jagadesh Kumar's term ended on January 31.
