Rajasthan / RTU vice-chancellor arrested red handed taking bribe of five lakh rupees 21 lakh also recovered

ACB has arrested the Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Technical University Kota, Prof RA Gupta, red handed while accepting a bribe of five lakhs. The vice-chancellor had demanded a bribe in lieu of increasing the seat in a private engineering college. He was staying at the government guest house in Jaipur for four days to collect money.


ACB has found Rs 21 lakh in cash from the guest house. After which the ACB raided many places of the accused in Jaipur. DG BL Soni said that the complainant had given a complaint that Vice Chancellor RA Gupta was demanding a bribe of Rs 10 lakh in lieu of increasing the seat of a private college. After which the complaint was verified. On getting the complaint right, the ACB team took action of trap. The Vice-Chancellor was arrested taking five lakh rupees.


Where did the money seized from the accused come from, the ACB has started its investigation. Pariyadi also told the ACB that the vice-chancellor used to ask him for money for every work, due to which the private college operators are upset.
