Kiren Rijiju offers seven tips to Rahul Gandhi for increasing Congress seat tally

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has shared seven pieces of advice for Rahul Gandhi. He stated that by following these suggestions, the Congress party could increase its seat count.

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju recently took to the social media platform X to share a detailed post offering seven specific pieces of advice to Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. Rijiju asserted that if Rahul Gandhi chooses to implement these suggestions, the Congress party could Importantly increase its number of winning candidates in future elections, while this statement comes amidst an ongoing war of words between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition Congress party.

The seven pieces of advice from Kiren Rijiju

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju outlined the following seven suggestions for Rahul Gandhi:

  • Spend more time in India and avoid frequent, quiet trips abroad.
  • Respect elders and learn valuable lessons from them, as has been the Indian tradition.
  • Do not meet with anti-India elements and stop promoting their agenda.
  • End the deep-seated hatred towards the BJP, RSS, and Modi ji. Treat the BJP as a political rival, not an enemy.
  • Take Parliament more seriously and allow MPs to participate in debates and discussions.
  • Respect the Constitution of India and uphold the dignity of constitutional institutions.
  • Allow the Congress party to function as a democratic entity and end dynastic politics.

Rijiju questioned Rahul Gandhi's working style, stating that Parliament is a place for debate and discussion, but those who don't believe in democracy are now talking about debates, while commenting on Rahul Gandhi's recent challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a debate, Rijiju remarked that it's akin to Islamic fundamentalists talking about secularism, separatists holding the Indian flag, or anarchists displaying the Constitution book.

The Minister further added that promoting the agenda of India's enemies and then accusing others of foreign support is like making a mockery of oneself. He clarified that top-level debates can only take place between sensible and mature individuals. This statement from Rijiju comes as a direct response to the front opened by Rahul Gandhi against the central government and the Election Commission.
