Mumbai. The 'Lata Di' of 138 crore Indians, who made people cry every time by singing 'Aye mere watan ke logon, zara aankh mein bhar lo paani', went to Asthal with the sun on Sunday. 92-year-old Lata Mangeshkar, who was called 'Didi' of the country, died on Sunday morning at Breach Candy Hospital due to corona and pneumonia. Lata Mangeshkar, who was in the hospital for four weeks, tried to harmonize with her father Master Deenanath Mangeshkar's songs two days ago even when she regained consciousness for the last time. When Saraswati idols worshiped a day ago came out for immersion on Sunday, this time Mother Saraswati went on taking her lifelong seeker along with her. The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi also reached to bid farewell to Lata Mangeshkar. At the time of the funeral, a gathering of eminent personalities of the country was seen at the Shivaji Park ground here.

The streets of South Mumbai have seen the struggle of Lata Mangeshkar. Somebody was remembering his song 'Lag Ja Gale Ki Phir Yeh Hansi Raat Ho Na Ho' again and again, while some were singing 'Rahe Na Rahe Hum...' with moist eyes.

A different ooze was seen on the face of Lata Mangeshkar draped in the tricolour, even in her last journey. Tika of sandalwood and kumkum on the forehead along with the whole family. She loved Sachin Tendulkar very much. He came to bid farewell with his wife. His relationship with Sharad Pawar was very special. He was also present with his family members. He had a special affection for Shahrukh Khan. He also appeared mournful in the last journey. According to Javed Akhtar, Lata Mangeshkar's name cannot be accompanied by an adjective because her name itself is a simile, an adjective. He was seen sitting silently close to Raj Thackeray and Supriya Sule at the funeral. Just like every person in world cinema is missing, by bidding farewell to this sister of seven generations.
