The court of Mata Vaishno Devi is decorated for Chaitra Navratri. The entire building complex is smelling of exotic flowers. During the night, colorful lights of electricity are spreading a different shade. On the first Navratri, 20 thousand devotees had crossed the Darshani Deodhi till 7 pm on Thursday to get their heads in the court.

All the preparations for the grand Chandi Mahayagya also completed

On behalf of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board, all the preparations have been completed for the grand Chandi Mahayagya, which will start from Saturday in the courtyard of the building. In this grand Chandi Mahayagya, 51 Pandits, led by Padma Shri Professor Vishwamurti Shastri, will perform Havan Puja during Navratri.

Devotees can participate in the complete offering on the last Navratri day

In this Mahayagya, devotees coming from all over the country take part in a complete sacrifice on the last Navratri day. For the past several days, about 200 artisans have been engaged for the decoration of the court of Maa Vaishno Devi. For the decoration of the court, fruits and flowers have been imported from Sri Lanka, Canada, England, Australia, Nepal, Myanmar etc.

Everywhere the eyes of the security forces

Security has been tightened at Katra city, Vaishno Devi Bhawan and Road. Apart from CRPF, companies of state police have been deployed in large numbers. Police personnel even in plain clothes are keeping a strict vigil on the situation.

People are being allowed to enter Dharmanagari only after investigation.

Along with Vaishno Devi Bhawan, people are being allowed to enter Dharmanagari only after thorough checking at the check posts on all the routes connecting to Katra. The soldiers are patrolling 24 hours. SP Amit Bhasin said that a large number of soldiers have been deployed everywhere.

Troops have also been deployed on the surrounding hills including Trikuta mountain. Along with Darshani Deodhi, at places like Maa Vaishno Devi railway station etc., goods etc. are being continuously checked with scan machines.
