After the violence in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, the situation is tense. Curfew has been imposed in the city till 12 midnight tonight. Internet service is also down. The district administration is making efforts to normalize the situation. Meanwhile, Maharaja Marwar Jodhpur Gaj Singh has appealed to the people to maintain peace and brotherhood.

He said that the untoward incident that took place at Jalori Gate intersection has deeply hurt me. This has become a black spot on the brotherhood of our city. Jodhpur Marwar has been known all over the world for its affinity, love and brotherhood. Everyone has been working for each other's happiness and sorrow. My grandfather Maharaja Umaid Singh always said that Hindu and Muslim are both my eyes. At the time of partition, my father Maharaj Hanwant Singh also did not allow us to be divided in the name of religion. In the past too many festivals and celebrations have come on one day, which is celebrated by all together.

He said- Me and my family have always been and will be with you all. The people of the society should work together to solve this matter. Uphold the example of unity and brotherhood. Don't be deceived by anyone, which we have to regret for the rest of our life. The festivals of Akhatiz, Eid and Parashuram Jayanti should be celebrated together. The example of ineptitude should be set again.
