Delhi News: A massive fire broke out in a girls PG hostel located in Mukherjee Nagar area of Delhi. A total of 20 fire tenders were sent to the spot to control the fire and after an hour's effort, the fire was brought under control and all the 35 girls trapped in the PG were rescued safely. According to initial reports, 35 girls living in the PG hostel were trapped in the building after the fire. “A total of 20 fire tenders have been sent to the spot. Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said, some girls were trapped in the building. The cause of the fire has not been known yet. This fire broke out in the PG of Signature Apartment in Mukherjee Nagar.

According to the information received, the fire has been completely extinguished, there were about 35 girls there and all are safe. The fire appears to have started from the meter board near the stairs and spread to the upper floors. There is only 1 staircase in the building, the building consists of stilts + G + 3 and a kitchen on the roof.

Authorities cordoned off the area and efforts were made to stop the fire from spreading. The incident occurred around 7.47 pm on Wednesday, when information about a fire in the building was received, following which 20 fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot.

DCP Northwest says that the entire building was evacuated as soon as the fire was reported. At present there is no news of anyone being injured in the incident. He told that three to four girls were scared after hearing the news of fire, at present they too
