Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal and Assembly Speaker CP Joshi clashed after the opposition's ruckus in the assembly was calm. Dhariwal wanted to speak after the Speaker ordered the proceedings of the House to proceed but the Speaker did not allow. When Dhariwal did not agree despite repeated interruptions, the angry speaker adjourned the proceedings of the assembly indefinitely.

The assembly was adjourned twice earlier due to the uproar in the House due to the clash between Minister Pratapsinh Khachariawas and Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria. When the proceedings resumed at six o'clock, the speaker said that forget what happened earlier and move on. The kind of debate that took place during the passage of the bill today was not correct. Referring to the International Day of Democracy, Speaker CP Joshi said, the manner in which the bill was being discussed was not according to the rules. The debate was lengthened as if there was a discussion on demand. The debate on the bill today was not on topic. Whatever happened should be forgotten and this mistake should not be repeated again.

Dhariwal started speaking despite refusing, Joshi said - you choose another president, I will not allow it to run like this

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal was shocked as soon as CP Joshi talked about running the proceedings of the house. On this, Speaker Joshi clearly said that now further proceedings will go on and no one will be allowed to speak on the old issue. Joshi stood up from the seat and gave a clear warning to Dhariwal. Despite this, when Dhiwal continued to speak, Naraj Joshi said – you choose another Speaker, you cannot dictate the Speaker like this, if you do not want to run the House, then I adjourn now. When Dhariwal did not stop speaking on this too, the angry speaker adjourned the assembly proceedings indefinitely.

The legislators of the opposition came to persuade the speaker

Angered by the behavior of the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, the ruling party came to a standstill due to the Speaker's decision to adjourn the Assembly proceedings indefinitely. Congress and BJP MLAs reached Speaker CP Joshi's chamber to persuade him, but things did not work out. The work till September 18 was fixed in the meeting of the work advisory committee. 18 had to be passed in addition to three bills, supplementary demands for additional expenditure of the government.

A fresh bulletin will have to be issued to convene a meeting of the house.

After adjourning the assembly proceedings indefinitely, now further meeting can be called only when the assembly issues a fresh bulletin. According to parliamentary affairs experts, it is now up to the speaker to convene a further meeting of the House. If the Speaker wishes, the meeting can be called, for this a bulletin will have to be issued from the Assembly Secretariat.
