Wrestlers Protest: Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik has released a video about Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, former president of the Wrestling Federation of India. In this, he has accused of intimidating and threatening the family of a minor female wrestler. Sakshi Malik says that the statement was changed only after threats from Brij Bhushan. The witness says that the minor wrestler first gave a statement in front of the police and the magistrate. But as soon as the family received threats, so did the statements.

Her husband Satyavrat Kadian is also seen in the video along with Sakshi Malik. He says that the movement against Brij Bhushan is not politically motivated. On the question being raised about not making allegations for so many years, Sakshi said that we were facing constant harassment, but the wrestling community was not united. Because of this, no voice was raised against Brij Bhushan. Kadian told that false things are being said about the protest.

90 percent people had information about molestation

Satyavrat Kadian says that 90 percent of the people associated with the wrestling community are well aware that molestation and intimidation is going on for the last 10-12 years. Some people even wanted to raise their voice, but the wrestling community was not united. Kadian also made it clear that the fight is against the WFI chief and not the government.

On keeping silence against Brij Bhushan, Sakshi also reiterated Kadian's words. He said that we were silent only because no one was united. Sakshi says that you can see how the minor female wrestler has also changed her statement. His family was threatened. The Olympic winner said that these wrestlers come from poor families. It is not easy to muster the courage to fight a powerful person.

Demonstration not inspired by politics

The performance of the wrestlers is being said to be politically motivated. This is because Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik had reached the protest site. He also supported the wrestlers. After this it was said that the strike was politically motivated. However, the wrestlers have made it clear that this is not the case at all. Satyavrat Kadian says that this demonstration is not being supported by the Congress.
