Wrestling News: The Indian wrestling world is currently going through a lot of turmoil. After the players' protest last year against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections were held in December and Sanjay Singh was elected president but the Sports Ministry dismissed him. Now Sakshi Malik, who won the bronze medal for India in Rio Olympics-2016, has made another revelation. In a press conference at his home on Wednesday, he alleged that he and his family were receiving threats. He has clearly said that Brij Bhushan Singh's people are calling him.

Sakshi Malik was among the wrestlers who protested against Brij Bhushan at Jantar Mantar last year. Apart from him, names of Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat were included in this demonstration. All of them had accused Brij Bhushan of sexually exploiting female players. After this, Bhushan had to step down from the post and then elections were held again but after seeing the haste shown by the new WFI in organizing the Nationals, the Sports Ministry dismissed him.

Will inform the police

Sakshi held a press conference at her Delhi residence on Wednesday and told that her mother got a call from someone and that person was saying that a case is going to be filed against someone in their house. Sakshi said that Brijbhushan's people are calling her. He has sought protection from the Indian government. Sakshi has also said that she will give complete information about this matter to the police. Sakshi said that she fought for justice and yet she is receiving threats. He said that even after the elections, Brijbhushan's man had come to the Sangh. This veteran wrestler said that she does not want Sanjay Singh or any special person of Brij Bhushan to return. Sakshi had retired from wrestling after Sanjay Singh was elected president.

No problem with adhoc committee

The Sports Ministry had dismissed the WFI headed by Sanjay Singh and in its place formed an ad-hoc committee to look after the functioning of the federation. Sakshi has said that she has no problem with Adhoc and she welcomes it. Sakshi said that allegations are being made against her that she has taken away the rights of junior children but she says that she wants that the future of the children should not be ruined and she fought for this only. He has requested the Prime Minister to keep the children safe. On the protest taking place at Jantar Mantar, Sakshi said that this is the propaganda of Brij Bhushan. Protest is taking place against Bajrang and Vinesh along with Sakshi at Jantar Mantar. He said that Brijbhushan's IT cell is active. Sakshi has clearly said that she does not want any person from Brij Bhushan to come to WFI.
