The long-term forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department is telling that this time the monsoon will be kind over Uttar Pradesh. Its knock will also be ahead of time. Monsoon rains in the capital this time are expected to be above average i.e. 900 mm.

This time in the entire state, the outbreak of scorching heat started from March itself. Finally, in Banda, Agra, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Hamirpur, Lucknow, the day temperature had reached 45-45 degrees. In April, the heat broke records in many districts. The temperature reached 47.3 degrees in Agra and 49 degrees in Banda. The temperature in Lucknow went up to 45.3 degrees. In the beginning of May, there was slight respite from the heat due to drizzle and cool winds due to western disturbances. After this, the period of severe heat started from the second week of May. The day temperature remains between 41 to 44 degree Celsius.

Monsoon will enter from Ballia on June 15

Using the Multi-Modal Extended Range Prediction System (MMARPS) in Pune, meteorologists have predicted that this time the monsoon will be better than before. It will soak Uttar Pradesh fiercely. Monsoon arrives in Uttar Pradesh via Ballia around 15th June. At the same time pre-monsoon activities start in the capital. But this time the monsoon is likely to knock in Uttar Pradesh around June 10. At the same time, its arrival in the capital can be between June 15 and 18.

Disturbance from 23 will give relief

The circulation over East UP will give relief from the heat from May 23. After this, the effect of Western Disturbance over Afghanistan and Pakistan will also affect the capital and adjoining districts. With this, the next week will be a relief from the heat. Lucknow Meteorological Department director JP Gupta said that firstly, due to the circulation over eastern Uttar Pradesh, many districts of the state will get relief from the heat. After this, the weather of western Uttar Pradesh districts will change due to western disturbances. The Western Disturbance over Afghanistan and Pakistan is moving towards Jammu and Kashmir.

Lucknow Meteorological Department director JP Gupta said that people can get relief soon from this scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has forecast that this time the monsoon may come a little earlier. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, many states including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand will get relief from the heat.
