A new variant of Coronavirus will be active in the UK this winter. In such a situation, this year's winter season in Britain can be very difficult for the people. According to the report, by the end of this year, children and the elderly may fall prey to this virus in large numbers.

'Lockdown may be imposed in the country'

The report states that the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), an advisory body to the British government, has issued this warning. SAGE member Professor Callum Semple said that the possibility of the emergence of the corona virus in Britain could increase. Due to which a lockdown can also be imposed in the country.

Callum said, 'I think the winter season will be dangerous due to Coronavirus. Due to this we will have to face a lot of difficulties. I think business will be able to do as normal next year.

'Can fight the virus'

Public Health England director Susan Hopkins has also issued a warning about this. He said, 'Due to the new variant of Corona, we may have to impose a lockdown this winter. However, we will have corona vaccine, testing and other treatments to fight this variant. With which we can fight this virus.
