While chasing the target of 289 runs, Afghanistan team was all out for 139 runs in the 35th over. On Wednesday, Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bowl at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai and the New Zealand team had lost 4 wickets for 110 runs at one time. Captain Tom Latham and Glenn Phillips made a partnership of 144 runs and took the score to 288.
