Corona Update / Not a single new case was found in this state in the last 24 hours

There is a daily decline in the cases of corona in India. As soon as the infection subsides, the process of unlocking has started in different states of the country. Meanwhile, relief news has come out from the Union Territory of Puducherry regarding corona infection. For the first time in the last two years since the outbreak of the corona epidemic, no new case of corona has been reported in Puducherry.

Test of 157 people

Puducherry's Director of Health Services said in a statement that 157 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, but not a single person was found corona infected in all the 4 areas of the region. The active cases in the union territory were 28, in which 3 patients were being treated in hospitals, while 25 were being treated at home.

11 people got leave

According to the statement of the Director of Health Services, 11 people have been discharged after treatment and no death has been reported. So far, a total of 1,63,755 people have recovered from the infection and 1,962 people have died due to corona. So far 15,96,951 people have been given the corona vaccine in Puducherry. Of these, 9,32,278 have been given the first dose of the vaccine and 6,52,024 have been given the second dose. Along with this, booster doses have also been given to 12,649 people so far.

The health department directed the people to continue strictly following the corona protocol, including wearing of masks, safe distancing, hand hygiene and avoiding unnecessary travel. Along with this, people have been urged to get the vaccination done soon.

About 4 thousand cases in the country

At the same time, talk about the country, in the last 24 hours only 3 thousand 993 new cases of corona have been reported, which is the lowest in 662 days. With this, the total number of cases has increased to 4,29,71,308. Whereas, the number of active cases has come down to 49,948.

Infection rate 0.12 percent

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 108 people have lost their lives due to corona infection during the last 24 hours in the country. So far a total of 5,15,210 people have died due to corona infection. The number of active patients is 0.12 percent of the total cases of corona infection. Whereas, the rate of those recovering from the infection is 98.68 percent.
