Corona Update: The price of Bharat Biotech's nasal vaccine has been fixed. One dose of iNNOVACC vaccine given through the nose will cost Rs 800 in private hospitals while it will be available for Rs 325 in government hospitals. This vaccine will be available in the market from the fourth week of January. People above 18 years of age will be able to use this vaccine as a booster dose. This is the world's first covid nasal vaccine which has been approved for use.

The vaccine was approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) in November for use as a 'booster' dose for people above 18 years of age. This vaccine has been approved amid increasing cases of infection in China and some other countries. This nasal vaccine prepared by Bharat Biotech will be delivered to the body through the nose.

The special thing about this vaccine is that it blocks both infection and transmission of corona as soon as it enters the body. That's why this vaccine can prove to be very effective in the case of corona. Needle will not be needed to apply this vaccine, nor will health workers need to be given much training.
