Maharashtra | The troubles of Nupur Sharma, surrounded by remarks during the TV debate on Prophet Mohammad, are increasing continuously. A case was registered against him in the police in connection with this statement. Now Mumbai Police will soon issue summons to them and call them for questioning. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey has said this. Pandey said the Mumbai Police will soon summon suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and record her statement for her remarks during a TV debate on the Gyanvapi issue. He said that whatever necessary action is taken in this regard will be taken.

Sanjay Pandey said that the process is being followed in this case as well. Whatever process is there after registering the FIR, will be followed. Nupur Sharma had commented on Prophet Mohammad during a TV debate and after that the very next day Mumbai Police registered a case in this matter. The case was filed by Irfan Shaikh, joint secretary of Raza Academy. The police officer had told that a case was registered against Nupur Sharma on the night of 29 May. A case has been registered against Nupur Sharma under section 295A of IPC. Under this, he has been accused of inciting religious enmity. Apart from this, a case has been registered under section 153A on charges of increasing enmity between two groups.

Due to Nupur Sharma's remark, BJP has to come on the back foot. On one hand, many Islamic countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain had summoned the Indian ambassador on this, while on the other hand India is also facing severe criticism. Not only this, this was also the reason for the violence in Kanpur on Friday. This violence took place when PM Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind were also in Kanpur. Significantly, after all-round attacks, the BJP on Sunday suspended Nupur Sharma from the party. Apart from him, another leader Naveen Jindal, who tweeted on this issue, has also been sacked from the party.
