Shaheen Afridi: Pakistan team is currently on a tour of England to strengthen its preparations before the T20 World Cup 2024, where it has to play a 4-match T20 series against the host team from May 22. Just before this series, the statement of Pakistan team's leading fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has come out, in which for the first time he has expressed his views on the issue of being removed from the captaincy after just one series. Pakistan Cricket Board had removed Babar Azam from the post of captaincy from all three formats after the ODI World Cup held in the year 2023 and in this they had made Shaheen Afridi the new T20 captain of the team. However, after just one series against New Zealand, the responsibility was taken back from Shaheen and handed over to Babar Azam.

There are some differences in every family

Shaheen Afridi, while talking on the podcast of Pakistan Cricket Board, said on the issue of his removal from the captaincy that sometimes minor differences are seen in every family, even among brothers. But let me tell you that there is nothing like this in our team. All the players in the Pakistan team listen to each other and we do the same. Our entire focus remains on playing better cricket so that we can bring happiness on the faces of Pakistani fans. At this time, we need to forget everything and focus only on our target so that we can perform better in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Shaheen will have a big responsibility in T20 World Cup

Shaheen Afridi will be seen leading the bowling attack for Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup to be jointly hosted by West Indies and America, in which he will have a huge responsibility. Pakistan team has to play a match against India in the T20 World Cup on June 9, which will be held on the grounds of New York. If we look at Shaheen's career so far, he has taken 88 wickets in 64 T20 matches.
