New Delhi: The country has got 4 vaccines so far in the war with Corona. Moderna's vaccine was also approved on Tuesday, after Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik. Not only this, soon India can also get the vaccine of Pfizer. NITI Aayog member VK Paul gave this information during the media briefing of the Health Ministry. “We currently have Covaxin, Covishield, Sputnik-V and Moderna vaccines available. Soon we will also finalize a deal with Pfizer for the vaccine. Apart from this, he also cleared the confusion about the effect of the vaccine on pregnant women.

VK Paul said that there is no risk to pregnant women from the corona vaccine. They should definitely get this vaccine. Along with this, he also talked about releasing the guidelines related to vaccination for pregnant women soon. He said that till now 4 vaccines available in India are safe for lactating women. Apart from this, he also dismissed rumors of reduced fertility due to the vaccine. VK Paul said that there is nothing like this. At the same time, regarding Moderna, he said that this is the first international vaccine. However, its use will be limited for now.

Apart from this, VK Paul also gave relief news about the new Delta Plus variant of Corona. Paul said that at present there are 51 cases in the country. Let us tell you that 50 cases of this variant were present last week. From this perspective, the pace of its transition has stopped for the time being. On the other hand, if we talk about vaccination, more than 27 crore population of the country has received the first dose of corona vaccine. Apart from this, there are 5.84 crore people who have got both the vaccines. Health Ministry's Joint Secretary Luv Aggarwal said that India has been in a steady decline since the peak. Corona cases are continuously decreasing in all the districts of the country.
