Bhopal: At present, the coronavirus vaccine is being administered free of cost to all people above the age of 18 in the country. This decision was taken after a long contemplation by the central government. Now, Madhya Pradesh Culture Minister Usha Thakur made a statement asking people to express their gratitude.According to Usha Thakur, capable individuals who are vaccinated should put Rs. 500 in the PM CARES Fund. Usha Thakur, a minister in the Shivraj Singh government, said, "I urge you to join my campaign. If God has made us capable and privileged, we must contribute. The vaccine costs Rs. 250 per dose. If you've taken both jabs, I request those who are capable and privileged to put Rs. 500 in the PM CARES Fund."The Government of India is taking 75% of the vaccines from manufacturers, while private hospitals have been allowed to buy 25%. However, the government has fixed the prices for private hospitals as well.According to the new guidelines issued recently, private hospitals cannot charge more than the specified amount, including GST and service tax, for Oxford-AstraZeneca's Covishield, Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, and the Russian-made Sputnik-V.The Ministry of Health has put a cap of Rs. 780 on Covishield, Rs. 1,410 for Covaxin, and Rs. 1,145 for Sputnik-V.
