Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Maharashtra tour on Tuesday. He inaugurated the Jal Bhushan Bhawan and the Gallery of Revolutionaries at the Governor's House. After this, PM Modi released a special postage stamp on the 200th anniversary of Mumbai Samachar, one of the prestigious newspapers of Mumbai.

Uddhav got angry after Aaditya Thackeray was thrown out of the car

According to sources, PM Modi's SPG security team asked Aaditya Thackeray to get down from CM Uddhav Thackeray's car after his name was not included in the VIP list that was received by PM Modi. Uddhav Thackeray was very upset by this move and he argued in support of his cabinet minister. The Shiv Sena chief told the security personnel that Aditya is not just his son but a cabinet minister who can receive PM Modi as per official protocol. Finally, after the strong displeasure of CM Uddhav, Aaditya Thackeray got permission to welcome PM Modi.

Referring to Chhatrapati Shivaji and Sambhaji

Addressing a program at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, PM Modi mentioned Chhatrapati Shivaji and Sambhaji. He said, "When we talk about 'Swaraj', the lives of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj still strengthen the feeling of patriotism in every Indian."

The Prime Minister released a special postage stamp to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mumbai Samachar - one of Mumbai's prestigious newspapers. On this occasion, PM Modi said, “I congratulate him on completing 200 glorious years. Regional newspapers played an important role in the freedom struggle. The Parsi community played a big role in the national development."

Earlier, on Tuesday, PM Modi was received by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Protocol Minister Aaditya Thackeray at the INS Shikara heliport in Mumbai.
