Rajasthan News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift development projects worth more than Rs 17 thousand crore to Rajasthan today. He will address the program ‘Developed India, Developed Rajasthan’ through video conference. According to information received from the PMO, the projects that PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of are related to many important sectors including roads, railways, solar energy, power transmission, drinking water and petroleum and natural gas. He will inaugurate various National Highway projects worth more than Rs 5,000 crore. These include three packages of the eight-lane Delhi-Mumbai Green Field Alignment (NE-4), namely the Baunli-Jhalai Road to Mui Village section, the Hardevganj Village to Maz River section and the Takli to Rajasthan/Madhya Pradesh border section.

6-lane greenfield Udaipur bypass also inaugurated

This will result in faster and better connectivity in the area. These sections are equipped with animal underpasses and animal overpasses with camouflage to facilitate unhindered movement of wildlife. Additionally, provision for sound barriers has also been made to minimize noise impact on wildlife. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the 6-lane Greenfield Udaipur Bypass connecting the Chittorgarh-Udaipur Highway section of National Highway-48 at Debari with the Dakshinpur-Shamlaji section of National Highway-48 at Kaya village. This bypass will be helpful in reducing congestion in Udaipur city.

Will also dedicate eight important railway projects to the nation

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several other projects that will improve road infrastructure in Jhunjhunu, Abu Road and Tonk districts of Rajasthan. The rail projects that will be dedicated to the nation include rail routes including Jodhpur-Rai's Bagh-Merta Road-Bikaner section (277 km), Jodhpur-Phalodi section (136 km) and Bikaner-Ratangarh-Sadulpur-Rewari section (375 km). This railway station has been developed as a satellite station for Jaipur and is equipped with 'Terminal Facility' where trains can originate and terminate. The railway projects for which the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone include maintenance facility for Vande Bharat sleeper trains at Bhagat Ki Kothi (Jodhpur), maintenance of all types of rakes like Vande Bharat, LHB etc. at Khatipura (Jaipur), Coach Care Complex for maintenance of trains at Hanumangarh. and doubling of Bandikui to Agra Fort rail line. Railway sector projects aim at modernizing rail infrastructure, enhancing safety measures, improving connectivity and facilitating movement of goods and people with greater efficiency.

Will lay the foundation stone of solar projects

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation important solar projects worth about Rs 5,300 crore in Rajasthan as a step to boost the production of renewable energy in the region. He is involved in the development of 300 MW solar power project to be set up around Barsingsar Thermal Power Station in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, NLCIL Barsingsar Solar Project and 300 MW Solar Project of NHPC Limited under Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSU) Scheme Phase-2 (Part-3). The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of several projects worth about Rs 2,400 crore, including projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to strengthen the infrastructure to provide clean drinking water in Rajasthan. The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation Indian Oil's LPG bottling plant in Jodhpur. "The launch of these development projects in Rajasthan underlines the Prime Minister's tireless efforts to transform the infrastructure landscape of Rajasthan and create opportunities for progress and development," the PMO said.
