PM Modi Japan-China Visit / PM Modi will go to Japan on 29 August, then will reach China, this is the schedule

PM Modi Japan-China Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an important foreign tour from 29 August to 1 September 2025, in which he will visit Japan and China. The aim of this visit is to strengthen India's diplomatic and strategic partnerships, which will further strengthen India's position at the global and regional level.

Japan Visit: India-Japan Special Strategic Partnership to New Heights

On 29-30 August 2025, Prime Minister Modi will visit Japan to attend the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. This will be his 8th visit to Japan and the first summit meeting with Prime Minister Ishiba. During this, the two leaders will review the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan. Key issues of discussion will include:

• Defense and Security: Emphasis on further strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
• Trade and Economy: To promote bilateral trade and seek new investment opportunities.
• Technology and Innovation: Cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy and digital technology.
• Regional and global issues: Discussions on stability in the Indo-Pacific region and global challenges such as climate change.

The decades-old friendly relationship between India and Japan will be further deepened by this visit. This summit will prove to be an important platform to promote cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.

China visit: Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and bilateral relations

From August 31 to September 1, 2025, Prime Minister Modi will attend the 25th Heads of State Council meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Tianjin, China. This visit will be his visit to China after 7 years, as before this he attended the SCO summit held in Qingdao in 2018. During this time he can also hold bilateral meetings with many other leaders.

This visit, which is being held at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, can be an important step towards improving India-China relations. Despite some tension between the two countries in recent years, this visit will provide an opportunity to increase mutual trust and cooperation.

Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit

The SCO summit to be held in Tianjin will focus on issues such as regional security, economic cooperation and fight against terrorism. This is the fifth time China is hosting this annual summit. India, as an active member of the SCO, will play an important role in promoting regional stability and cooperation.
