We had talked to all the parties – Nitish

Nitish Kumar started his speech by saying that we had talked to everyone. The caste census was conducted with the support of 9 parties. Complete information has been given in the report on the basis of each caste. The way it was started, in 1990 when the President was Giani Zail Singh, news came that he wanted to meet, we went. For an hour he explained that caste based counting should be done. At that very moment we understood this. We met Madhu Limaye, Madhu Dandawate, also met the then PM Vishwanath Pratap Singh.

People were involved in caste census on a large scale - Nitish

It was passed unanimously by both houses in 2019. Corona came in 2020, in 2021 I talked to 9 parties, met the PM, everyone was together, in your place a leader from another party got a chance. We did the caste census at our own level. People were deployed on a large scale and training took place. When the work started, the court stopped it, then the court gave permission.

Center should conduct caste census-Nitish

Some people say that caste has increased or decreased, caste was not counted earlier, so how are you saying? All this is bogus talk. The Center should get it done, the census has not been done yet, it should be done for the entire country. At the time of caste census, we ourselves went to our home in Bakhtiyarpur. When caste census work was being done, people should have gone to their respective homes. During Nitish's speech, BJP leader and former minister Prem Kumar demanded the release of Panchayat wise. Nitish said that we will do it further, but does the census data come panchayat wise like this?

According to this census report, 59 percent people have permanent houses, 39 lakh families live in huts. 63850 families are homeless. 94 lakh families were found economically poor. Compared to 2011, the literacy rate has increased from 61.8 to 79.70 percent, female literacy has improved significantly.
