PUBG Mobile was first banned in Rajkot where police picked up 10 youths for violating the order. Following this, eight more people were arrested from Ahmedabad and Himmatnagar for playing PUBG Mobile. The latest crackdown took place in Ahmedabad again where three more people were arrested for playing the game.

Ahmedabad police commissioner had issued a notification banning PUBG Mobile with effect from March 14, PTI reported. Similar notifications were issued in these cities saying that PUBG Mobile was adversely affecting studies and the overall behaviour, conduct and language of children, the report added.

In response to the ban, PUBG Mobile has issued a statement.
