JK / A Lashkar hybrid terrorist arrested in Kulgam, arms and ammunition recovered

Srinagar. Security forces on Sunday arrested a 'hybrid' terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba from Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. police gave this information. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, "Kulgam Police and Army (34 Rashtriya Rifles) arrested Yameen Yusuf Bhat, a hybrid terrorist of banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, who hails from Gadihama Kulgam."


Police said arms and ammunition, pistol, two grenades and 51 pistol cartridges were recovered from the terrorist. According to officials, a 'hybrid' terrorist is one who performs the task assigned by his masters and then goes back to his normal life and awaits the next operation.


Hizbul module busted in Kulgam

Earlier, on 26 April itself, security forces arrested five terrorists, including three terrorists accused of killing Panch, in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. A police spokesman said that a terror module of the outlawed organization Hizbul Mujahideen was busted by arresting three terrorists involved in the murder of one Panch Mohammad Yakub Dar in March this year.


Instructions were received from terrorist masters of Pakistan

The spokesman said that during investigation it has come to light that Farooq Ahmed Bhat, an active Hizbul terrorist, had received instructions from terror masters based in Pakistan to target members of Panchayati Raj Institutions in Kulgam. “On his instructions, Bhat identified the target and directed active terrorist Raja Nadeem Rather to carry out the terrorist act along with his associates – Nasir Ahmed Wani, Adil Manzoor Rather and Majid Rather,” the spokesperson said.
