Rajasthan News: These days the thunder of planes is resonating in the sky of Rajasthan. Jodhpur Airbase in Rajasthan is hosting joint exercise Garuda 7 between India and France Air Force these days. For the past one week, the Air Force of both the countries is conducting maneuvers here. During this, on Tuesday, the Air Force Chiefs of both the countries practiced by flying fighter aircraft, showing feats in the air.

According to media reports, five Rafale, five Sukhai and three Tejas fighter jets took off from Jodhpur airbase on Tuesday. During this, refueling was practiced in the sky for about an hour. The special thing was that in this exercise, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary flew Rafale and French Air Force 'French Armée de Air' Chief General Stephen flew in Sukhai.

Air Force of both countries have done 6 exercises till now

Let us tell you that so far 6 maneuvers have been conducted between the Air Force of India and France. These maneuvers are named Garuda. So far, three exercises under the Garuda series have been conducted in France and three in India. In the year 2014, this exercise has been done in Jodhpur. It was only after this exercise that the deal to buy Rafale fighter aircraft for the Indian Air Force gained momentum and today Rafale has become an important part of the Indian Air Force.

This is the second exercise in Jodhpur

This exercise of the Air Force of both the countries will last till 12 November. This is the 7th exercise between the armies of both the countries. Earlier the first, third and fifth exercises were conducted in the years 2003, 2006 and 2014 at Air Force Station Gwalior, Kalaikunda and Jodhpur.
