Chalti Devi, the mother of the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and Congress MLA Tika Ram Jully, passed away late Sunday night during treatment at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, while according to hospital officials, she was admitted in a critical condition after suffering a fall at her residence. Despite being placed on ventilator support and receiving intensive care from a team of senior specialists, she succumbed to her injuries.

According to family sources, the incident occurred late Sunday evening when Chalti Devi fell in the bathroom and immediately lost consciousness. She was rushed to the emergency department of SMS Hospital by family members. According to official sources, the funeral ceremony is scheduled to take place in Alwar on Monday, while local administration and family members have begun preparations for the final rites, which are expected to be attended by a large number of political leaders, supporters, and local residents from the Alwar district.
