India China Clash: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has met with Chinese Defense Minister General Li Shangfu in Delhi. These bilateral talks took place on the sidelines of the meeting of the Defense Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This is the first meeting of the Defense Ministers of both the countries after the violence in Galvan Valley in 2020. In the meeting, Rajnath Singh has emphasized that how the relations between the two countries live, how they develop depends on the fact that there is peace between the two countries on the border.

The Defense Minister also said that whatever issues are there between the two countries on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), they should be resolved according to the existing agreements and commitments between the two countries. Both the ministers openly discussed the border disputes and relations between the two countries.

Rajnath also emphasized that whatever agreements have been signed between India and China, their violation has affected the relations between the two countries. At the same time, after the meeting of the Defense Ministers of both the countries, India's CDS Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan said that India is firm on its position on LAC.

China's Defense Minister is on a visit to India to attend the SCO Defense Ministers' meeting on 28 April. To reduce the ongoing tension on the border, talks between India and China are going on continuously at the military level. Recently, the 18th Corps Commander level meeting took place between the two. It was agreed that whatever issues remain on the border in East Ladakh, work will be done to resolve them at the earliest.

Last year, there was a clash between the armies of the two countries in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. Then there was an attempt to infiltrate from the Chinese side. Indian soldiers stopped them and drove them back. China talks about resolving border disputes with India, but its activities on the border are provocative. India clearly believes that relations with China cannot be normal until conditions of peace and tranquility are created on the border.
