Russia | Hitendra Garasiya had left his home and family from Udaipur in Rajasthan in the hope of earning four paise. But when he returned, his body was found. That too after the family struggled for 206 days. During this, Godwa village of Kherwara tehsil of Udaipur looked completely despondent. After completing the formalities after the body reached the village, the last rites were performed with customs. During this, the eyes of everyone present there were moist.

Russia to Delhi and then village

The body of Hitendra was brought to his native village Godwa on Tuesday after post-mortem from Russia two days ago in Delhi and yesterday in Jaipur. At around 12 o'clock the relatives reached the village with the dead body locked in the coffin. A large number of villagers also gathered on this occasion. Rishabhdev DSP Vikram Singh including top police officers and force of 5 police stations were also present on the spot. The funeral was held in the afternoon.

Report against agent sending to Russia

Seeing the ambulance in the village, people could not hold back their tears. The whole family, including sons, daughters, brothers and wife, kept on crying while sitting near the dead body. Relatives and hundreds of villagers reached the house. The last rites were performed after all the social procedures. Earlier, the family members of the DSP demanded investigation by giving a written report against the agent who sent Hitendra to Russia from the village and one of his associates.

Actually, on April 13, 2021, Hitendra Garasia went to Russia for earning through an agent. He died there on 17 July. A month later, the Russian government informed the family. Since then the family was struggling for the last rites in the village by bringing the dead body to India. In this fight, the family members went from the Human Rights Commission to the Ministry of External Affairs and the High Court. From Jantar Mantar to outside the Prime Minister's Office, there was a dharna. Write letters to PM, President and Foreign Minister. Threatened to commit suicide. The family also met Priyanka Gandhi. Then somewhere the family has won this battle.
