Jodhpur Ranji Trophy 2023: Ranji tournament started in Jodhpur after 32 years at Barkatullah Khan Stadium. Earlier on Tuesday morning, RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot introduced the players and the match between Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh started. Earlier in 1985, bowler Pradeep Sundaram, who took 10 wickets in a single innings, was honored at the same stadium.

At the same time, protest has started against the non-inclusion of international player Ravi Bishnoi with this match. He could not find a place in the playing 11. Cricket experts are calling it the decision of the BCCI and the team management, while politics has also started at the local level. Ravi is the only player in this team who has played international matches for Rajasthan but till now he has not played a single Ranji match.

Here, Rajasthan had a poor start on the first day of the four-day Ranji match, but the batsmen in the middle order took over. SK Joshi scored his maiden century. By the end of the first day's play, Rajasthan scored 330 runs losing 8 wickets in 85 overs.

Pradeep told that now there is a lot of opportunity for the players because earlier Ranji Trophy was played according to zonal level and only four matches were played.
