New Delhi : On the New Year, the Central Government has given the gift of vaccination to the teenagers of 15 to 18 years. In the midst of the growing outbreak of Corona, the registration window for adolescents aged 15 to 18 years has opened at 10 am on the Kovin portal or app from Saturday i.e. January 1, 2022. Their vaccination will also start from Monday.

Let us tell you that recently PM Modi had announced to start vaccination for 15-18 year olds from January 3. The special thing is that even if teenagers do not have Aadhar card, they can book their slot for vaccination only with their 10th ID card.

Preparations for corona vaccination are in full swing for 15-18 age group teenagers in the country's capital Delhi as well. According to the information, about one million teenagers are to be vaccinated in this category. Officials of LNJP Hospital and other medical centers in Delhi said that the infrastructure is ready to vaccinate the children for Kovid. A large number of schools and other educational institutions are also being used as COVID vaccination centers and arrangements are being made there as well.

Doctors appeal, get vaccination done soon

Doctors have also urged parents to vaccinate their children of this age group at the earliest, to protect them amid fears of a third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Bishnu Panigrahi, Group Head, Medical Strategy & Operations, Fortis Healthcare Group, said, "The oomycron form of the virus is infecting people and it is spreading, but those who have been vaccinated are largely 'asymptomatic'. and people who have not been vaccinated are more likely to need hospitalization. Therefore, I would appeal to people to wear masks, and get vaccinated at the earliest if eligible.

how to register

First, register yourself as a parent or guardian by visiting the Aarogya Setu App or Cowin.gov.in. If they are already registered then login with your mobile number.

For new registration, you have to enter ID type, phone number and your full name.

After this, the gender and age of the child will have to be told here.

After this a confirmation message will come on the mobile number.

Then you will be able to choose a center from the list of vaccination centers by entering the pin code of your area.

After this, you have to book your vaccination slot with date and time at that center.

Children who do not have the facility to register online, take their identity card and visit the vaccination center and book the on-site vaccine slot there.
