Reliance Industries: There is great news for Asia's richest man and billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The valuation of a subsidiary of his Reliance Industries has now crossed Rs 8 lakh crore, while Reliance Industries is already the most valued company in the country. On the basis of this increased valuation, this Reliance company is going to get an investment of Rs 2069.50 crore.

Reliance Industries Limited informed the stock market about this on Monday. The company said that global investment company KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts) will invest Rs 2,069.50 crore in 'Reliance Retail Ventures Limited' (RRVL), the subsidiary company that looks after its retail business. After this, KKR's stake in Reliance Retail Ventures will increase from 1.17% to 1.42%.

Valuation crosses Rs 8 lakh crore

KKR has made this investment in Reliance Retail at a valuation of Rs 8.36 lakh crore (about $ 101 billion). This is almost double the valuation at the time of his last investment in 2020. After this valuation, it has become the fourth largest company in the country in terms of share value.

In the year 2020, KKR had invested Rs 5,550 crore in Reliance Retail and acquired 1.17 percent stake in the company. Then the valuation of the company was fixed at Rs 4.21 lakh crore. At that time Reliance Retail had raised an amount of Rs 47,265 crore from different investors across the world.

Rs 8,278 crore collected last week

Reliance Retail is rapidly expanding its business. Currently it is the largest retail company in the country. Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani runs this company. The company has more than 18000 retail stores across the country. Last week itself, Qatar's government investment fund QIA has also invested Rs 8,278 crore in this Reliance company. In return, he got about one percent stake in the company.
