Road Accident / Road accident in Rajasthan’s Nagaur, 12 Died while 6 Injured

Twelve individuals had been killed and 6 others injured in a collision among a jeep and a truck on Tuesday in Nagaur district of Rajasthan, police stated. Eight of the 12 killed had been women, and the collision passed off close to Sri Balaji temple at the Bikaner-Jodhpur highway. All the passengers visiting withinside the jeep had been citizens of Sajjan Kheda and Daulatpur village of Ujjain district in Madhya Pradesh, police added.


“Twelve individuals had been killed and six others had been injured. All are citizens of Ujjain, MP,” stated Abhijeet Singh, superintendent of police (SP), Nagaur.


The sufferers had been returning after offering prayers at Ramdevra Temple close to Pokhran, while their jeep collided head-on with a truck whilst trying to overhaul an automobile in Nagaur district, killing 8 passengers on the spot and 4 on the way to the hospital.


Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his grief over the mishap.


“The death of pilgrims returning to MP in a horrific road accident in Sri Balaji area of Nagaur is extremely sad. My condolences to the bereaved families, may God give them strength in this difficult time and may the soul of the departed rest in peace. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured,” Gehlot tweeted.
