Britain's stand on Russia tough after attack on Ukraine

Britain has imposed a number of sanctions on Russia since the invasion of Ukraine. Britain is also giving Ukraine a variety of weapons. Apart from this, PM Johnson recently visited Kyiv. Britain has been quite vocal against Russia from the beginning. Talking about European countries, two Britain have shown the toughest stance on Russia. Britain has also confiscated the properties of the Russian elite.

Johnson reached Ukraine to meet Zelensky

Boris Johnson arrived in Ukraine on Saturday 10 April to meet President Volodymyr Zelensky. Johnson showed solidarity with Zelensky. The purpose of his visit was to send a message to Russia that he is with Ukraine. A video of Johnson's visit also went viral on social media in which the two leaders were seen roaming the streets of Kyiv.

Meanwhile, the British Prime Minister's Office said that Saturday's meeting between the two leaders discussed a new package of financial and military aid, including long-term support from Britain to Ukraine. The visit came a day after Johnson announced another £100 million to buy high-capacity military equipment for Ukraine.

Britain gave huge help to Ukraine

During this, Johnson had said that Britain wants to help Ukraine so that it can defend itself in the midst of continuous Russian attacks. Andriz Sibiha, deputy head of Ukraine's presidential office, said the two leaders met in Kyiv. Earlier, during a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Schalf, Johnson said he would give the Ukrainian military an anti-aircraft missile and another 800 anti-tank missiles.

Apart from this, he promised more helmets, night vision equipment and other weapons. A consignment of two lakh non-lethal military equipment from Britain has already reached Ukraine. Due to this stand of Britain, Russia is angry with it and has decided to ban Johnson's entry.
