On Monday, devotees arrived in boats to perform the aarti. Devotees performed the aarti on the roof of the temple. Videos of this have also surfaced, in which Mahadev's temple is seen surrounded by water from all sides.

More than half of the temple and Lord Shiva's Shivling is also under water. Despite this, the enthusiasm of the devotees has not diminished. Especially in the holy month of Sawan, devotees are reaching the roof of the temple through boat and worshiping and aarti of Lord Shiva. Even on Monday, many devotees boarded the boat and reached this ancient temple for darshan.

The temple is situated at the confluence of three rivers

Sangameshwar Mahadev Temple is located at the confluence of Mahi, Anas and Jakham rivers, near the Gujarat border, on the border of Banswara and Dungarpur districts. This temple is very important from religious point of view and is believed to be about 200 years old. It is built in the foothills near Bedua village, about 5 km from Anandpuri in Banswara and 3 km from Chikhali in Dungarpur.

Remains submerged in water for eight months

This temple falls in the flood area of ​​the dam built on the Mahi river, due to which it remains submerged in water for eight months of the year. When the water level is less than 400 feet, then it is possible to go here for darshan. However, in the month of Sawan, devotees reach the temple through boat and worship Lord Shiva by immersing themselves in devotion.

Heavy rain havoc in Rajasthan

Continuous heavy rains in Rajasthan have affected life in many districts. Waterlogging situation persists due to rising water level of rivers in Banswara. Schools and colleges have been closed for two days due to heavy rains in Jaipur. Chandna village of Jalore has become an island amidst the fast flow of rivers, due to which its contact with the district headquarters has been cut off. Many villages in the tribal areas of Udaipur have been submerged in water and their contact with the outside world has been cut off.

Torrential rains in Sikar have disrupted life. Police vehicles and many other vehicles have been submerged in water, as well as the police post has also been flooded. Despite the strong current on the culvert of Kalisindh river of Gagron near Jhalawar, a car driver tried to cross the culvert, due to which the car was swept away. The bodies of two of the four people in the car have been recovered, while two people are still missing. The administration pulled out the car with the help of a crane and the search for the missing people is on.
