Rajoana Case: The Supreme Court is hearing today the case related to the hanging of Balwant Singh Rajoana, convicted in the murder of the then Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh in 1995. A three-judge bench will hear Rajoana's plea. Let us inform that Rajoana has filed an appeal to commute the death sentence to life imprisonment. He was a former constable of the Punjab Police and was convicted for his involvement in the August 31, 1995 blast outside the Punjab Civil Secretariat.
